Accidental injury?              or                Not?

Let's take a look at what is and what isn't considered an accident so you understand how you get paid.

Most accidental injury plans cover an injury to the insured person as the result of an accident, as soon as coverage under this policy takes effect and while this policy is inforce, which results in care within 72 hours after the injury is sustained.  A common winter activity in the Northwest is sandbagging to prevent from flooding. During the regular course of this activity an individual may develop a herniated disk or sprain that persons back severely; this would not be an accidental injury. However, if while throwing sand bags, an individual slips and falls out of the truck, breaking their arm, an accidental injury has most likely just happened and ruined your day.
